- Abstract
This paper describe the nature of the existing turtle nesting beaches from Karativu (in Puttalam District) to Yala (in Hambanthota District) during the period July 1995 to August 1996. Beaches in the Puttalam and Gampaha Districts are currently not being used by the turtles for nesting while some beaches of the Colombo, Kalutara and matara districts are still occasionally being nested by turtles.
