- Abstract
Sri Lanka has a well-established offshore fishery targeting tuna and shark. The annual production of large pelagics in Sri Lanka was 126,165mt in 2003. Although there is no target fishery for billfish, Sri Lanka makes considerable contribution to the billfish production in the Indian Ocean.
