- Title
- A trophic box model of the coastal ecosystem of Sri Lanka
- Abstract
A comprehensive investigation was conducted to study the complex food web structure of the littoral coastal ecosystem of Sri Lanka. A multi-specific approach based on possible trophic relationships in the ecosystem was proposed. This study was based on the available information from the secondary sources. A multi-species trophic model was built based on mass balance approach to describe the general trophic representation of this ecosystem using well documented ECOPATH modeling technique.
