- Abstract
The landing of a Bull shark Carcharhinus leucas (Müller & Henle, 1839) was recorded by the writer from the Negombo fisheries harbour in Sri Lanka (7°12'11.67N, 79°49'44.35E) on June 26, 2012. This specimen was caught on a live-bait longline off a commercial multi-day fishing vessel operating within the territorial waters of Sri Lanka, approximately 35 km west of Negombo.
