- Abstract
This study reviews the past and present status of the shark fishery in Sri Lanka. The large pelagic fishery database (PELAGOS) of the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) in Sri Lanka and the published database for sharks of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) were incorporated for this review.
