1. ARGO profiles- Array for Real time Geographic Observations (ARGO) are autonomous instruments which are programmed to collect in-situ salinity and temperature of ocean where they exist. ARGO can profile temperature and salinity up to 2000m depth. ARGOs are released in to ocean by different ocean rim countries for research purposes and NARA (Sri Lanka) released 4 in 2013.
