Abstract

Vermiculated rabbit fish, Siganus vermiculatus (Family: Siganidae) is one of the most popular brackishwater fish in Sri Lanka. In Negombo estuary, it is caught in brush parks, gill nets and seines in large numbers and significantly contributes to the fishery.
